Since 2007, Copper Canyon Fire and Medical District (CCFMD) personnel have spent countless hours gaining invaluable experience in the wildland arena, meeting the National Wildfire Coordinating Group PMS 310-1 standards.
With all 53 organizational members qualified to this standard and when appropriate, CCFMD is ready to respond with apparatus and qualified personnel for an off-district response. CCFMD can provide a Type 1 Engine, a Type 6 Engine, a Type 1 Tactical Water Tender, a Type 2 support Water Tender, one Command vehicle, and various medical response teams and ambulances.
CCFMD single resource personnel supervise crews and equipment in the district and on assignments within the region's, State, and Federal lands to support fire suppression and fuel reduction projects. During wildfire seasons, we ensure regional interoperability with our neighboring agencies in the Verde Valley, Yavapai County, and with Incident Management Teams throughout the southwest and Northwest regions.
