David Curtis Clerk

Dave was born in San Diego, California and raised in National City California. He arrived in Arizona in 1978 after serving three years in the US Army. Dave started his fire service career in 1979 as a hotshot with the Prescott National Forest and later that year was hired with the Central Yavapai Fire District in Prescott Valley where he spent the next 29 years. He retired as the Fire Chief from Central Yavapai Fire District in 2007. In 2010 Dave moved to Camp Verde with his wife, Louise, who is a native of Camp Verde, to be closer to most of their ten grand kids. Dave currently volunteers with the American Red Cross on both a local and national level where he has responded to several major disasters. In addition to volunteering for the Red Cross, Dave is an avid cyclist and amateur radio operator. His term expires November 2018.

Linda Welsch Board Member

As lifelong volunteer and resident of Camp Verde since 1994, Linda has served on various boards and commissions in Camp Verde including Parks and Recreation Commission, Trails and Pathways Committee, CVFD Auxiliary and Camp Verde Little League along with other youth sports organizations. Currently, Linda volunteers for the local Salvation Army, and writes and administers grants for a neighboring fire district.

Although Linda is a former District employee, her knowledge of emergency response and firefighting began thirty years ago when she married her husband, John, who is a current fire chief. To complete their firefighting family, two of their three sons are professional firefighters.

It is an honor for Linda to serve on the CVFD Board where she can actively participate in assisting the members of the District in providing the highest level of emergency response services. Her term expires November 2016.
