Carol Keeton – Board Chairperson

Carol was born in a small town in southeastern Ohio and has lived in several places including Chicago, Columbus, Ohio, Tokyo Japan, and Pensacola, Fl before moving to Flagstaff, Arizona in 1993.  She has a degree in Business and accounting from Roosevelt University and has had a career in managing large university auxiliaries including the university bookstores at The University of Chicago and Northern Arizona University.  She has lived in Rimrock since 1999.  After retiring from NAU she has been active in Kiwanis, Key Club, and many local civic organizations.  She became a Board Member of MRFD in 2008, then CCFMA in 2016.  Although Carol  does not have a fire service background, she considers it an honor to serve the community with organizational, financial and management skills.

Brandi Bateman Board Member

Brandi Bateman was born in California and moved to the Verde Valley in 1979. She graduated from Mingus Union High School in 1991. She has lived, worked and raised her family in all corners of the Verde Valley. She now lives in Lake Montezuma with her husband Matthew and their youngest child Jacob. Brandi has three children and four grandchildren all living in the Verde Valley. After a long history of working in restaurant business she opened her own restaurant, Brandi’s Kitchen in 2007. She closed to the restaurant in 2013 to address significant personal health issues and began working at Mingus Union High School as the Executive Assistant to the Superintendent and HR Coordinator until the spring of 2018. February of 2018 she took a position with Yavapai County Board of Supervisors as the Administrative Assistant for District 3 with Supervisor Randy Garrison. Brandi is committed to making a positive impact in her community and participates with Kiwanis as the President, Chairman for the Kid’s at Hope Steering Committee, Treasure for Partners in Education, MatForce Steering Committee, and Board Member for Verde Valley Leadership and Class XII alumni. Brandi will be graduating with her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management in October of 2018 and plans to continue on with her Master’s Degree. She is an honored to serve her community on this Board.
